From the village, the walk crosses the passes of Col de l'Ancise and Col de la Banlève, heads for the remarkable garden at Le Tomple and crosses the "Cévenol" railway line, which still links Clermont-Ferrand with Nîmes.

Signposts will guide you all along this route. In the description below, the signposted place names and/or directions are given in bold italics between quotation marks :

From "Génolhac", walk to "Col de l'Ancise" via "Pont de la Gardonnette", "Champrevart", "Aiguebelle 1,8 km".
At "Col de l'Ancise", return to "Génolhac" via "L'Amalet" and "Cante Perdrix".
